It’s actually really easy, and super useful to add custom shapes into your custom shape panel within Photoshop. There’s only really two steps involved.
Learn how to add custom icons to the custom shape tool in Photoshop. This will speed up your design time by having icons and shapes you often use, right there in the shapes panel.
Design more efficiently by having popular social media icons, graphics or shapes you love using only a click away!
Find a vector icon or shape you’d like to make into a custom shape within Photoshop. Copy it to your clipboard.
Past the vector icon shape into Photoshop. Make sure you paste it as a shape layer.
Click on the pasted layer in your layer panel. Select the pen convert tool and select the shape layer.
Navigate to ‘Edit > Define Custom Shape’. Name the new custom shape and you’re all ready to go sparky!
Give the newly defined shape a name for future use.
Another great and easy tip to integrate into your Photoshop design and web design process. So now that you know how to add custom icons to the custom shape tool, start adding away!
